Adrian Mercer

Adrian Mercer

Adrian established Joints & Points in 1996. A skilful and intuitive clinician, he has built the company up over the years based on recommendation and reputation. He understands the needs of patients and the people around them, and has a keen sense of developing business opportunities.

Adrian lives on the Wirral with his family and has tried nearly every sport at some point with limited success. He now runs regularly with Pensby Running Club and can often be seen hanging onto the back of the fast boys (and girls)

Skills

  • Management of musculoskeletal disorders and sports injuries
  • Management of Occupational Health Disorders
  • Business development into existing and new market

Personal Statement

“Despite all of the additional roles that come with running a growing company, I still love being a physio. Having someone come in with pain and frustration and knowing that you can lift that burden still gives me a good feeling after 20 years. I see my role now as passing my skills onto our team members as they come into the business and develop their own reputation. I know that the best way to help more and more people is to grow the company and get to fix as many people as we can”

Alison Roberts

“I believe that counselling can provide a safe environment to explore issues that may be affecting your life.”

This could be anxiety, depression the recent breakup of a relationship or bereavement.

I work with individuals with many different life issues and can help them work through, deal with, and overcome issues that are causing pain or making them feel uncomfortable.

Counselling can provide a safe and regular space for you to talk and explore difficult feelings. I am here to support you and respect your views, I will not usually give advice, but I will help you to find your own insight and understanding of your problems. This empowers people to make more positive changes and enjoy life again.

I have a BA (hons) degree in Person Centred Therapy. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have a background in social care supporting vulnerable adults and young people. I have worked as a counsellor in a variety of contexts in schools, the hostels for the homeless and Cruse bereavement.
