Here at Joints & Points Healthcare, physiotherapy can aid the recovery from a range of problems. Our aim is to assess you and begin ‘Hands on’ treatment on the first session, along with providing advice and exercises to help you start the healing process at home.

Book an appointment with our physiotheraptists:

Advice is always free, so if you have any questions before, during, or after your sessions, please contact us via telephone, email or use our call back service and one of our therapists will contact you.

Physiotherapy treatment will often involve mobilising, manipulating and/or stretching the parts of you that are affected, with a view to aid the healing process and to get you better. Your physiotherapist will devise a programme tailored to your needs, in order to promote as much self-management to complement the hands on therapy you receive during the session.

Feel free to view our self-help info sheets to get you going. If you’re still unsure, contact us or book an appointment and we’ll get started on managing your problems.

Conditions We Treat at J&P Physiotherapy

Back Pain

Back pain is very common, but its exact cause is often unclear. In most cases it's not caused by anything serious and gets better over time.

Back pain can be felt anywhere along your back. It's most common to have pain in your lower back.

You can usually treat back pain at home with gentle exercises and painkillers. See a GP if it does not get better after a few weeks.

Back pain can sometimes be caused by a problem with the joints, bones or tissues around the spine. But often there's no obvious cause.

Neck Pain

Neck pain is a common complaint. Neck muscles can be strained from poor posture — whether it's leaning over your computer or hunching over your workbench. Osteoarthritis also is a common cause of neck pain.

Rarely, neck pain can be a symptom of a more serious problem. Seek medical care if your neck pain is accompanied by numbness or loss of strength in your arms or hands or if you have shooting pain into your shoulder or down your arm.

Sports Injury

Sports injuries are injuries that occur when engaging in sports or exercise. Sports injuries can occur due to overtraining, lack of conditioning, and improper form or technique.

Failing to warm up increases the risk of sports injuries. Bruises, strains, sprains, tears, and broken bones can result from sports injuries.

Repetitive Strain

Repetitive strain injury (RSI) is the aches and pain in your body caused by repetitive movements or poor posture while doing certain activities (including work).

It's also called occupational overuse injury and overuse syndrome. RSI mainly affects your wrists and hands.

Overuse Injuries

An overuse injury is any type of muscle or joint injury, such as tendinitis or a stress fracture, that's caused by repetitive trauma.

An overuse injury typically stems from: Training errors. Training errors can occur when you take on too much physical activity too quickly.

Headaches

There are several hundred types of headaches, but there are four very common types: sinus, tension, migraine, and cluster.

Headaches are always classified as either primary or secondary. A primary headache is a headache that is not caused by another condition or sickness.

Physiotherapy is one of the safest and most respected professions for the treatment of many musculoskeletal (bones, joints, nerves and muscles) disorders and Joints & Points have been in practice since 1996, so you know you are in safe hands.

Our Testimonials

We take great pride in the service we provide for all of our clients – please take a look at some of the reviews we’ve had from some happy customers!

“Fixed me up after been in a lot of pain for a long time. Had all sorts of treatments off various people until I was seen by Dorota… She’s magic… Very talented.

I owe her a huge thanks really didn’t think anyone could fix me. Highly recommended. Thank you!

“This physio practice is excellent and in particular the PT Harry has ‘healing hands’, following a nasty car accident he sorted my back, neck and shoulders out so that I regained free movement as soon as possible.

” He tusselled with my insurance company when he knew I needed further treatment authorising and in the end we won. Thanks J&P and Harry for an excellent treatment course! Cant recommend them highly enough.

Having had one course of treatment some little while ago at the clinic here in Bromborough with Saba which was really good and successful, I had no hesitation booking again with a different problem.

Not only is Saba very good at what she does and very attentive and professional, she really is a lovely warm and caring person making the treatment an even better experience and it’s my pleasure to highly recommend her.

“Could not recommend J&P enough. I have been going there for over a year now, for physio and massages.

“If I have a new injury or pain Harry is always able to help fix the issue no matter how strange it may seem. Harry’s knowledge and experience have made the injuries less impactful than they would have been normally.”
