How talking therapy can help

Sometimes it’s easier to talk to a stranger than to relatives or friends.

During talking therapy one of our trained counsellors/therapists will listen to you and help you to find answers to your problems in a confidential space without judging you.

Our therapist will give you time and room to talk, cry, shout or just think. It’s an opportunity to look at your problems in a different way with someone who’ll respect you and your opinions.

Our therapists can help you understand how the way you think, is affecting the way you feel and behave, and how you can challenge and change the way you think, using evidence-based techniques to improve your quality of life.

Sessions are usually face-to-face, but we do offer sessions via telephone and Zoom if that feels more comfortable for you.

Although there are lots of different types of talking therapy, they all have a similar aim: to help you feel better. We use an integrative counselling model utilising various different counselling theories to tailor your therapy to your needs.
